When sending a bike to Bangkok from up country.
Head to the Parcel Room as the first step to collecting your bike.
The view from the main road.
Hand over your green receipt.
You will be handed a blue copy of the receipt and asked to take a seat.
Around 10 mins later a golf buggy arrives to take you over to the area where the bikes are stored.
The staff will tell you when the buggy has arrived.
After a 5 plus minute ride you will arrive at the place to collect your bike.
It is well sign posted all the way.

The parcel room is on the other side of the main station. (View from the pick up area)
In my case the train hadn’t long arrived and my bike was still on the platform.
The buggy took me a bit further and I rode off.
Sending a Bike from Bangkok
Go directly to the pick up location, do not go to the Parcel Room as you will be sent here.
There is a sign on the wall with a QR code that links to a map.
(Only when sending your bike from Bangkok to up country)
** When I called the SRT. Informed opens at 10 am to accept bikes, guessing that is when there are staff to take money and check documents. Passport / Green book etc.
The money will be collected and receipt provided.

Not difficult at all.
Just a bit confusing when receiving a bike go to the parcel room.
When sending a bike go directly to the pick up location.
Hope that is useful. If you have a different experience after January 1st 2024.

Hi great guide. I do have a question thou.
scenario: Bike from Bangkok to Chiang Mai
So do we have to purchase a train ticket for the bike before heading to the pick up location? I know usually the bike and person cannot be on the same train.
Or everything can be processed at the pick up location at Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Station pick up point.
In Bangkok just go to the location listed to drop off and pay to transport the bike on the train.
Nothing to do with your train ticket and no train ticket as such for the bike
Just think of it as paying freight to move the bike.. Make sure you have your green book and passport.
If a new bike, the invoice / payment etc from the dealer.
I dropped off the bike in the morning and flew up north in the evening.
Picked up the bike the next morning. No need to be there when the train arrives
They put the bike away safely.
If it gets bumped as too much cargo, usually will be on the next train.
